Emirates and Roar Africa are reuniting for a new venture. In 2019, the companies collaborated to launch a carbon-neutral private jet safari vacation. This month, the luxury tour operator revealed to Kenleaks Magazine exclusively that the two had joined forces for a new collaboration—the world’s most costly private jet safari adventure. Over the course of 17 days, the new “Sand, Sea, and Safari” itinerary will take 10 guests to Namibia, South Africa, and Madagascar. Between May 13 and 30, you will travel across the continent via a variety of settings ranging from the desert to the ocean, as the name implies.
You’ll begin with a night at the Bvlgari Hotel in Dubai for pre-trip spa treatments—after all, who doesn’t want to feel calm before going on safari? The African adventure then begins in earnest as you fly to the Namibian desert for three days at the Sossusvlei Desert Lodge. The remarkable resort boasts five-star facilities and is nestled in the country’s dry desert, providing some of the best stargazing in the world.
After that, you’ll be whisked away to Cape Town for a more cosmopolitan experience at the Ellerman House seaside resort. While there, you may go hot-air ballooning, explore neighboring Table Mountain, or join a walking culinary tour that includes a visit to a hidden speakeasy that specializes in gin. A visit to Nelson Mandela’s former jail, Robben Island, is also available, escorted by the leader’s former guard.
Following your time in the city, you’ll go to wine country for a short stay at the Delaire Graff Wine Estate. There, you may go on a safari to view the big cats at Singita and spend the afternoons wine tasting with a trained sommelier. The two-week voyage culminates in the midst of Madagascar’s incredible biodiversity, where you’ll enjoy island life on Nosy Anko, a tiny isle off the island country. You’ll be staying at the Miavana by Time + Tide resort, which is located right on the edge of the country’s stunning blue seas.
The ten tourists will travel between locations aboard the brand’s special Emirates A319 executive private plane. Rather than a traditional seat configuration, the aircraft has 10 separate “suites” with a shower, powder room, and shared area for mingling. A separate dining area is also available.
The two-week tour will be available beginning in 2024. Prices for individuals interested in the great trip begin at a record $163,300 per person. We weren’t joking when we claimed it was pricey.
