This season, Giorgio Armani’s Neve division brought its exquisite shenanigans to the icy slopes of St. Moritz, Switzerland, where guests were welcomed into the town’s old Olympic stadium. Furry blankets were used to keep visitors warm in the cold, as calming violins heralded the start of Giorgio Armani Neve’s Fall/Winter 2022 collection. As models walked down the square-shaped runway adorned with snowflakes, the music soon changed to booming club music.
The eco-friendly exhibition created in collaboration with the Swiss Tourist Board included a bevy of elegant winter clothing suited for adventurous aprés ski activities. The co-ed collection emphasized elegant structures, with cheetah print fur jackets over quilted puffers and thick-cut leather boots for navigating snowy paths.
Menswear continues with velour salopettes hung from Neve-branded straps, cable knit sweaters, hooded neck warmers, and ribbed beanies. Reversible ski outfits, fleece anoraks, and slouchy bottoms with utilitarian pockets for extra storage on the slopes are all highlights. GA’s round Neve patch was seen on a variety of items, including several glove styles, helmets, and over-the-shoulder belt bags.
Long-haired hats, gloves, boots, and purses flowed against the wind like living animals, matched with silver-trimmed ski jackets, belted bottoms, and calf-length puffer coats for ladies. Funky ’90s designs dominated the vibrant cropped outerwear, while geometric pullovers paired with weather-resistant nylon and vinyl pants for mountain-to-chalet transitions.
Angelic melodies brought the event to a conclusion as Mr. Armani took a bow and received a well-deserved standing ovation from his tiny audience.
